Call For Presenters
SUBMIT YOUR PROPOSAL SOON - SPACES ARE FILLING UP

This is the internationally recognized, premier conference for educators interested in discovering ways to use satellites and related technologies as a vehicle for helping students appreciate and understand the complex interrelationships among science, technology, individuals, societies and the environment while developing and applying inquiry and technology skills to study authentic questions and problems.  It connects teachers with their students' future employers - the space industry and government - to better prepare the students for today's most promising careers.

 The following are general guidelines for presentations at the 2007 Conference:

Be sure to include your name, title, institution, telephone contact information, mailing address and email address.
 

bullet Proposals can be mailed or emailed.
 
bullet For postal mailing, send to the Conference Chair, Dr. Paula J. Arvedson, Charter College of Education, Division of Curriculum and Instruction, California State University at Los Angeles, 5151 State University Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90032-8142

To email, do NOT send the proposal as an attachment.  Copy the proposal into the body of the email and send to Dr. Paula Arvedson at: parveds@calstatela.edu
 

bullet The Committee is looking for a wide range of approaches to the use of satellites to enhance education and a wide range of grade levels from kindergarten through college graduate; be sure to specify the grade level focus and the approach for using satellites in education.
 
bullet Include a half-page abstract of the presentation for the attendees to use in choosing their sessions.
 
bullet

Because the Committee is scattered across the nation, proposals must be received by 6/26/09 and notification of acceptance will be sent by 7/17/09.

Proposals that meet the following criteria will be given preference:

The presenter is a current member of the Satellite Educators Association.

bullet The presenter is registered for the Conference.
 
bullet The proposal has all required information.
 
bullet

The content is innovative and timely.
